A documentary about Diddy’s alleged crimes has left viewers horrified by its revelations, including interviews with celebrities and his late ex, Kim Porter.

Sean “Diddy” Combs, one of the most influential figures in hip-hop and entertainment, has seen his share of triumphs and controversies throughout his career.

His rise from the streets of Harlem to becoming a global music mogul has been documented in a new Peacock special, *Diddy: The Making of a Bad Boy*.

The documentary, released amid a swirl of legal troubles surrounding Combs, takes a deep dive into his life, highlighting key moments in his journey, both positive and negative.

Born and raised in New York, Diddy’s early years were marked by tragedy and turmoil.

His father, Melvin Combs, a drug dealer, was murdered when Diddy was just 3 years old, leaving his mother, Janice Combs, to raise him alone.

Despite the tragedy, Diddy grew up surrounded by wealth, afforded by his mother’s success and connections.

However, this wealth also made him a target for bullying from classmates. Diddy’s childhood friend, Tim Patterson, remembers how the young Combs was exposed to a variety of influences at a young age, from alcohol to drugs. These early experiences, while controversial, shaped Diddy into the person he would eventually become.

Throughout his life, Diddy was often surrounded by high-profile figures, including singer Al B. Sure, who had a son with Diddy’s late ex-girlfriend, Kim Porter. Porter, a model and actress, had three children with Diddy, and the couple shared a relationship for 13 years before her tragic death in 2018. In the documentary, Al B. Sure recalls how Porter once warned him that his involvement in Diddy’s lifestyle could be dangerous. Sure recounts Porter’s cautionary advice, telling him, “Don’t get involved. You will get killed.” This eerie premonition hints at the tension that existed behind the scenes of their relationships.

The documentary also touches on some of the more troubling aspects of Diddy’s career, including a deadly incident that occurred in 1991. Diddy, at just 22, was involved in a charity basketball game at City College of New York that turned deadly when more than 5,000 fans attempted to enter a gymnasium that could hold only 2,730. A stampede ensued, crushing nearly 30 people, nine of whom died. While criminal charges were never filed, Diddy faced multiple civil lawsuits from the victims’ families. In one such case, the brother of one of the victims, Sonya Williams, recalled a meeting with Diddy where the rapper offered him only $50,000 in compensation. The meeting, which was supposed to offer closure, instead left Williams feeling insulted and betrayed.

In addition to these incidents, the documentary explores some of Diddy’s other personal struggles and challenges, particularly in relation to his complex relationship with Kim Porter. Al B. Sure, whose son Quincy was adopted by Diddy after his birth with Porter, shares his own suspicions surrounding Porter’s death from pneumonia. Sure hinted that Porter had been writing in a diary about the secret struggles she faced in her relationship with Diddy, and he believes that someone may have accessed her personal accounts after her death.

Diddy’s past has also been clouded by the unsolved murder of rapper The Notorious B.I.G. in 1997. Biggie, who was signed to Diddy’s Bad Boy Records, was killed in a drive-by shooting in Los Angeles, a tragedy that remains unsolved to this day. Gene Deal, Diddy’s former bodyguard, suggested that Diddy might have known more than he let on, recalling a strange week leading up to Biggie’s death. While Diddy expressed shock and disbelief at the loss, Deal’s comments hint at unresolved questions regarding Diddy’s involvement, though nothing has been definitively proven.

Despite the controversies that have surrounded Diddy’s career, he remains one of the most successful figures in the music industry. From producing some of the biggest names in hip-hop to his own successful ventures in fashion, media, and business, Diddy has amassed a fortune and cemented his place as a music mogul. However, the documentary highlights that his rise has not been without sacrifice, struggle, and the occasional scandal.

In a statement to Fox News Digital, Diddy’s representative condemned the documentary, claiming that it “recycles and perpetuates the same lies and conspiracy theories” about the rapper. The representative further criticized NBC and Peacock for airing a documentary that gives a platform to what they deem “proven liars and opportunists.” The ongoing legal battles, including allegations of racketeering and sex trafficking, have undoubtedly added fuel to the fire of criticism surrounding Diddy.

As the documentary reveals, Diddy’s life has been a blend of incredible success and controversy. Whether loved or criticized, there is no denying the impact he has had on the world of hip-hop and entertainment.
