Coleen Rooney of I’m A Celeb shocks fans with a horrifying confession about her struggles with alcohol on the show.

Coleen Rooney has opened up about a personal health struggle she endured while competing on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! in a candid revelation that took fans by surprise.

During her time in the jungle, the 38-year-old star revealed that she faced a challenging battle with alcohol withdrawal, a struggle she had kept private before joining the reality show.

In a raw moment of honesty, Coleen explained how her time in the jungle tested her both mentally and physically, with the alcohol withdrawal symptoms proving particularly difficult to manage

in such an isolated and demanding environment. Coleen admitted that while she had prepared for the typical challenges of I’m A Celebrity—from the grueling trials to the discomfort of jungle life

she wasn’t ready for the unexpected health struggles that arose. The symptoms of alcohol withdrawal, including headaches, dizziness, and intense cravings, hit her harder than anticipated.

“I didn’t realize how much of a challenge it would be,” Coleen confessed. “It was a real struggle. Being cut off from everything in the jungle made it harder to manage,

and I wasn’t able to have the usual comforts I rely on.” She went on to explain that while she had never been heavily dependent on alcohol, her withdrawal symptoms were more pronounced than

she had expected, leaving her feeling vulnerable and overwhelmed during some of the most intense moments of the show.

Despite the physical and emotional toll, Coleen found strength in the support of her fellow campmates and her close-knit group of friends back home. She spoke about the solidarity she felt from the other contestants, including the heartfelt messages she received from her “mum friends” who had been cheering her on from afar. “My friends have been incredible, and hearing from them while I was in the jungle kept me going,” she shared. “They were proud of me for sticking it out and for being open about the struggles I was facing.” The support from her friends provided a lifeline during the toughest moments, and Coleen revealed that the sense of camaraderie and understanding from her campmates was a key factor in helping her manage the withdrawal symptoms as best she could.

One of the most touching aspects of Coleen’s journey in the jungle was the unexpected humor and lightheartedness brought to her situation by her friends. According to Coleen, her mum friends had a priceless response to her health struggles, showing their usual mix of humor and affection. “They were all so supportive, but also, they couldn’t help but laugh at me sometimes,” she said. “They said, ‘You’re in the jungle, love, you can’t exactly go to the corner shop for a bottle of wine!’ It was a funny, but very loving response that kept my spirits up.” Her friends’ ability to balance support with humor helped Coleen stay grounded, reminding her not to take everything too seriously despite the difficulties she was facing.

As Coleen navigated the physical discomfort of withdrawal, she also had to deal with the emotional weight of being away from her family. The absence of her husband, Wayne Rooney, and their four children added to the strain she was feeling, but it also gave her a new appreciation for the little things in life. “I missed my family so much, especially my kids. It was hard not to be able to just pick up the phone and speak to them,” she reflected. “But it made me realize how important they are to me, and it gave me a new sense of perspective on life.” The isolation and the jungle experience brought clarity to Coleen’s priorities, reinforcing her commitment to her family and her health.

Looking back on her time in the jungle, Coleen now feels a deep sense of pride for having pushed through such a difficult and personal challenge. She acknowledged that the experience was transformative, helping her confront both physical and emotional hurdles that she had never imagined facing in such a public setting. “It was tough, but I’m proud of how I handled it,” she said. “It taught me a lot about myself and about the strength I have inside.” Coleen’s honesty about her health struggles has resonated with many viewers, showing that even in the midst of a glamorous reality show, the stars face real-life challenges that require resilience and determination.

In the end, Coleen’s time in the jungle wasn’t just about the challenges or her eventual exit from the show—it was about personal growth, overcoming adversity, and finding support in the most unexpected places. While she may have entered the jungle with one set of goals in mind, she left with a deeper understanding of herself and the strength she has to navigate life’s most difficult moments.
