Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes are closing out the year with plenty to be grateful for.
As they celebrate the holiday season together, the couple is also marking a major milestone in their professional journey.
It has been two years since their romance first became public knowledge, and despite the challenges they have faced
including losing their positions at Good Morning America—they have continued to move forward, both personally and professionally.
A New Career Chapter
On Monday, Robach and Holmes took to social media to commemorate the one-year anniversary of their Amy & T.J. Podcast. Sharing their excitement on Instagram, the couple posted:
“Happy ONE year!! We couldn’t be more thrilled to have had one whole year of the Amy & T.J. Podcast. To celebrate, Amy and T.J. will be answering YOUR questions for a special episode. Drop your questions in the comments.”
Fans were quick to respond, flooding the comment section with inquiries about their relationship, including whether wedding bells might be in their future. Many also wanted insight into their experience of living and working together full-time.
Beyond relationship topics, listeners were curious about Holmes’ recent injury, which has left him temporarily sidelined from one of his greatest passions—running.
T.J. Holmes’ Marathon Setback
Holmes, an avid runner, sustained an injury after competing in the New York Marathon in November. The pain became so severe that he sought medical attention, where doctors delivered the news that he may have suffered a ligament tear—or at best, a strain.
Holmes shared his disappointment on Instagram, posting a series of photos from his doctor’s visit along with the caption:
“Damn. DAMN. DAMN!!! Hard words for a runner (like me) to hear: ‘You need to stop running.’ Post-marathon pain got severe enough that I went back to the doctor who tells me I possibly have a ligament tear … or a ligament strain, at best. He put me in a brace and told me not to run for the next 4-6 weeks. Guess that gives me enough time to get ready for #NYCMarathon2025.”
For Holmes, running has been more than just a hobby—it played a significant role in the foundation of his relationship with Robach. The two bonded over their shared love of marathon training before their romance began, and they’ve continued to embrace the sport together ever since.
From Public Scrutiny to a Stronger Bond
The couple’s journey together has not been without controversy. Their romance became widely known after they were photographed displaying PDA in late 2022. At the time, both were still married—Robach to actor Andrew Shue and Holmes to attorney Marilee Fiebig.
Robach and Shue had been married for 12 years before their split, while Holmes and Fiebig had also been together for over a decade. Robach was previously married to Tim McIntosh, with whom she shares two daughters. Meanwhile, Holmes and Fiebig co-parent their daughter, Sabine.
In an unexpected twist, their former spouses, Shue and Fiebig, have also found companionship with one another. The revelation of their romance only added another layer to the complex dynamics that have unfolded in the wake of Robach and Holmes’ relationship.
New Beginnings for Everyone
Despite the media frenzy that initially surrounded them, Robach and Holmes have remained focused on building their future together. While they have yet to confirm engagement plans, they continue to thrive both as a couple and as co-hosts of their podcast.
Meanwhile, Andrew Shue has been adjusting to life post-divorce and recently spoke about how he has been doing in an episode of Still the Place.
“I’m doing very well. I am very happy. My kids are all great, and I’m working on a project,” he shared.
As the holiday season continues, Robach and Holmes appear to be embracing the moment—celebrating their love, their professional achievements, and the resilience that has carried them through the past two years.
